14 Whoosh Trips Canceled Due to Earthquake in Bandung Regency

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) canceled 14 trips of the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed rail “Whoosh” due to the 5.0-magnitude earthquake that occurred in Bandung Regency, West Java, on Wednesday (9/18) at 9.41 AM western Indonesian time. This is because the location of the earthquake is close to the location of the Whoosh track.
High-speed rail operator PT KCIC apologized for the cancellation of a number of trips. PT KCIC Corporate Secretary Eva Chairunisa also said that the cancellation was made to ensure the safety of all Whoosh fast train trips.
A thorough inspection will be carried out on all tracks spanning 144 kilometers, most of which run through hilly areas. In addition, inspections are carried out to ensure that there are no external factors affecting the KCJB line.
People who have purchased tickets and are affected by the cancellations can cancel, which will be 100 percent refunded.
