President Prabowo: Danantara Ready to Invest in Strategic Energy Projects

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (Danantara) is ready to invest in strategic energy projects in Indonesia.

This was conveyed by President Prabowo Subianto when giving a speech at the opening of the 49th Annual Convention and Exhibition of the Indonesian Petroleum Association (IPA Convex) 2025 in Tangerang, Banten.

"I encourage all parties from within and outside the country to please enter the opportunities that we provide, and we have also prepared a large investment fund, namely Danantara Indonesia which is also ready to invest strategically in available energy projects together with friends abroad to drive our needs," said President Prabowo as reported by Antara.

President Prabowo added that Indonesia wants to reduce its dependence on energy imports. According to him, imports of Fuel Oil (BBM) worth around 40 billion US dollars should be used to finance strategic programs in the education and health sectors, as well as reducing poverty.

"I believe that with cooperation, collaboration, (and) what I said earlier, common sense policies we will achieve what we want," said President Prabowo.

Furthermore, President Prabowo revealed that there are dozens of oil and gas blocks ready to be offered to domestic and foreign business actors. For this purpose, President Prabowo also asked his staff to simplify regulations and bureaucracy.

"I ask regulatory bodies, simplify regulations. I repeat: Simplify regulations!" said the President.
