President Prabowo Welcomed Bill Gates at Merdeka Palace

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto welcomed Microsoft founder Bill Gates at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday (7/5/2025) morning WIB.
Quoted from Antara, President Prabowo plans to discuss several things with Gates, who is also known as a world philanthropist.
"President Prabowo and Bill Gates are scheduled to hold a meeting at the Merdeka Palace to discuss a number of sustainable development initiatives, especially on issues of global health, nutrition, financial inclusion, and public digital infrastructure," said Yusuf Permana as Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media of the Presidential Secretariat.
Gates arrived at the Merdeka Palace at 08.15 WIB. He then shook hands with President Prabowo, who then invited him into the Merdeka Palace credentials room.
Several ministers of the Red and White Cabinet were also present at the meeting. The ministers present included Minister of Investment and Downstream/Head of BKPM Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono.
Bill Gates' arrival was previously announced by President Prabowo on Monday (5/5/2025) in a Plenary Cabinet Meeting at the Presidential Office.
"On May 7, the day after tomorrow, a world figure named Bill Gates will come here, asking to meet me for quite some time. He asked to meet, if I'm not mistaken the letter was from November. He asked to meet, among other things, to express support and appreciation for our nutritious food," said President Prabowo to the ranks of the Red and White Cabinet ministers during the cabinet meeting.
