SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The United States has officially confirmed its direct involvement in a military strike targeting three major nuclear facilities in Iran, amid growing tensions in the Middle East. The operation marks a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict, which had previously been led primarily by Israel.

In a post on his Truth Social account on Saturday (6/21), President Donald Trump announced that US forces had successfully carried out airstrikes on nuclear sites in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. He described the operation as a “completed mission”. This move signals a shift in US posture, from indirect support to active engagement, and raises fears of a broader regional conflict.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warned that the United States’ involvement in the conflict alongside Israel would carry extremely serious consequences.
