Pengakuan Sopir Bus Maut: Sempat Perbaiki Rem Saat Istirahat Makan Sore
SEAToday.com, Subang-Sopir bus kecelakaan maut yang menewaskan 11 orang di Ciater, Subang, masih dirawat di RSUD Subang, Jawa Barat. Kondisinya kini sudah stabil.
Sopir bus, Sadira, masih dalam penyelidikan pihak kepolisian. Sadira mengaku sebelum musibah terjadi, ia sudah merasakan ada masalah pada rem bus yang dikendarainya. Bahkan, saat bus berhenti untuk makan sore, Sadira sempat berusaha memperbaiki rem tersebut bersama seorang mekanik.
Saat itu, mekanik menyatakan kondisi rem sudah bagus. Ia pun melanjutkan perjalanan.
Naas, saat bus melewati jalanan menurun, rem yang dikira sudah bagus kondisinya, ternyata blong.
“Kronologisnya, pada saat habis makan sore di Rumah Makan Mbak Jun, itu kan awal turun. Setelah perempatan Ciater itu kan saya berhenti, ngerem. Nah, pas persneleng mau saya masukin itu gak bisa masuk. Gak tahu, angin tahu-tahu abis,” ungkap Sadira.
Ia juga mengaku berinisiatif banting setir ke kanan untuk menghentikan kendaraan dari meluncur di turunan dan menabrak banyak kendaraan di depan.
“Saya buang ke kanan, dan saat ngebuang ke kanan itu mobil terbalik. Di depan saya ada motor 5, saat itu saya pikir kalau diterusin, korbannya akan lebih banyak”.
Sadira sebenarnya sempat berencana memindahkan penumpang, namun sayang belum sempat dilakukan, kecelakaan sudah terjadi.
Sebelumnya, sebuah bus pariwisata yang ditumpangi rombongan pelajar SMK Lingga Kencana Depok mengalami kecelakaan diduga akibat rem blong, di kawasan Ciater, Subang, Jawa Barat, pada Sabtu (11/5) petang.
Korban meninggal dunia dalam kecelakaan tersebut berjumlah 11 orang, terdiri dari sembilan siswa dan satu guru SMK Lingga Kencana, serta satu warga Subang.
