Presidential and Vice Presidential Debates Schedule and Topics

The General Election Commission (KPU) has set debate schedules for presidential and vice presidential candidates. The themes of the debate for presidential candidates and vice-presidential candidates participating in the 2024 Election has also determined. This information was conveyed by the Head of the KPU Technical Division, Idham Kholik, on Thursday (11/30).
The presidential and vice-presidential debates will be held five times from December 12, 2023 to February 4, 2024, with each debate having a different topic. The chosen topics refer to the national vision stated in the Preamble of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and the National Long-Term Development Plan (RPJPN).

1st Debate Dec 12, 2023
Law, Human Rights, Governance, Corruption Eradication, Strengthening Democracy
2nd Debate Dec 22, 2023
Defense, Security, Geopolitics, International Relations
3rd Debate Jan 7, 2024
Economy (populist and digital), Social Welfare, Investment, Trade, Tax (digital), Finance, State Budget Management
4th Debate Jan 21, 2024
Energy, Natural Resources, Human Resources, Food, Carbon Tax, Environment, Agrarian Affairs, and Indigenous Peoples
5th Debate Feb 4, 2024
Information Technology, Improving Public Services, Hoaxes, Intolerance, Education and Culture, Health (Post Covid Society), and Employment
Previously, three pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates had been declared eligible, namely Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka, and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD.
