SEAToday.com, Gaza - South Africa on Thursday (1/11) demanded the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to impose provisional measures on Israel to stop its attacks on Gaza.
At a hearing in The Hague, Netherlands, the South African delegation said: "The future of the Palestinians who are still in Gaza depends on the decision the court will take on this issue."
On the first day of the trial, South Africa presented hard evidence in the case which was filed on December 29. In the 84-page filling, South Africa accused Israel of genocide. The acts were committed with the specific aim of destroying the Palestinians in Gaza as part of a broader Palestinian national, racial and ethnic group.
These acts of genocide include the killing of Palestinians causing serious bodily and mental harm, mass expulsions from homes and refugee camps to prevent Palestinian births and prevent access to adequate food, water, shelter, sanitation and medical care.
