Elon Musk, President Widodo to Inaugurate Starlink Services in Indonesia During 10th WWF

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Coordinating Minister for Maritime and Investment Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan revealed that Elon Musk will inaugurate the Starlink service in Indonesia on the sidelines of the 10th World Water Forum (WWF) in Bali.

 

“Elon Musk, together with the President, will inaugurate the Starlink services to facilitate communication in remote areas. This will be done on Sunday (5/19),” he said.

 

Minister Luhut confirmed that Elon Musk will attend the 10th WWF in Bali as a speaker. However, he did not explain it in detail.

 

Meanwhile, Communications and Informatics Minister Budi Arie Setiadi said Starlink has fulfilled the operational feasibility test (ULO). Discussions related to the Indonesian government’s cooperation with Elon Musk’s Starlink service will be discussed in the upcoming working meeting. Things that will be discussed include the benefits and ecosystem of the service.
