SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Flash floods hit Rua Village, Ternate City, North Maluku on Sunday (8/25). This flood brought soil, mud mixed with sand, and rocks from the peak area.
The latest data from the search results of the Joint SAR Team is that 16 people died and 15 people were injured. Meanwhile, 3 other people are still being searched.
“Based on the data, 16 casualties have been found and the remaining three victims will be searched tomorrow,” said Emergency Response Post Coordinator Rizal Marsaoly on Monday (8/26).
The other three victims who are still being searched are Minanti Musa (39 years old), Ajana Roman (5 years old), Awana Alimudin (64 years old). The three victims belong to the same family.
On the first day of the search, Sunday (8/25), 13 people were found dead, then on the second day there were three people, making a total of 16 victims and there are still three victims who have not been found.
Meanwhile, 15 people were injured, four were treated at Chasan Boesoirie General Hospital, three at Prima Hospital, one at Ternate Army Hospital, and the rest were outpatients.
Head of BNPB's Disaster Data, Information and Communication Center Abdul Muhari reported that the incident affected 25 heads of households.
