Kereta Otonom Siap Layani Tamu HUT ke-79 RI di IKN Lewat 4 Halte
SEAToday.com, Nusantara - Menteri Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (PUPR) sekaligus Plt Kepala Otorita IKN (OIKN) Basuki Hadimuljono menyebut sediakan empat halte kereta otonom tanpa rel atau Autonomous Rail Transit (ART) untuk melayani tamu undangan HUT ke-79 RI di Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN).
Terdapat empat halte yang sedang dipersiapkan untuk penjemputan, yakni halte Sumbu Kebangsaan Barat, halte Hotel Nusantara, halte Bank Indonesia, serta halte Grande.
Empat halte tersebut, ia mengatakan akan siap pada 15 Agustus 2024 besok. Halte ini dipersiapkan, karena mengingat kereta otonom tidak bisa menjemput masyarakat dengan sembarangan.
Perihal skema penjemputan tamu kenegaraan, pemerintah akan menyiapkan bus listrik untuk mengantar tamu ke halte penjemputan kereta otonom.
Ia pun mengharapkan agar saat menggunakan kereta otonom nanti, masyarakat dapat tertib selayaknya menggunakan transportasi umum lainnya.
Sebelumnya, Deputi Bidang Transformasi Hijau dan Digital Otorita IKN Mohammed Ali Berawi mengatakan kereta akan dioperasikan secara manual atau menggunakan pengemudi untuk melayani antar-jemput tamu pada perayaan Hari Ulang Tahun ke-79 Kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia.
Pada perayaan HUT ke-79 RI, ART dua rangkaian dengan jumlah tiga gerbong per set melayani rute tertentu di kawasan KIPP untuk mengangkut para tamu undangan.
Kapasitas maksimal satu rangkaian ART adalah 300 penumpang, namun jumlah gerbong dapat disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan.
