President Prabowo and Vice President Gibran Perform Eid Prayer at Istiqlal Mosque

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Indonesian President and Vice President Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka performed the Eid al-Fitr prayer alongside the public at Istiqlal Mosque, Jakarta, Monday (3/31).
As reported by Antara, President Prabowo and Vice President Gibran arrived and entered the main worship area of the Istiqlal Mosque together at around 6:50 am.
Both of them wore white Muslim shirts and black pants, complete with black songkok, which is one of the characteristic of Indonesia.
Prabowo and Gibran entered the main worship area of the Istiqlal Mosque accompanied by a number of figures such as the Minister of Religious Affairs and the Grand Imam of Istiqlal Mosque Nasaruddin Umar, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
In addition, Prabowo Subianto's only son Didit Hediprasetyo was also seen accompanying Prabowo and Jan Ethes Srinarendra who joined Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
There were also several figures who have also attended earlier including the Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), Minister of Manpower Yassierli.
Additionally the Minister for Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (P2MI) Abdul Kadir Karding, Deputy Minister of Trade Dyah Roro Esti Widya Putri and a number of other figures attended earlier.
Not long after, the Eid al-Fitr prayer began solemnly. The Eid al-Fitr 1446 H prayer began at 07.00 WIB.
The preacher in charge was State Islamic University (UIN) Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Professor Ahmad Tholabi Kharlie, with the theme "Merawat Kemabruran Puasa".
