SEAToday.com, Jakarta - PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko (TWC) presents “Prambanan Dalam Sunyi” by closing the operation of Prambanan Temple for tourists during the Nyepi Day, Saturday (29/3/2025).

“Prambanan Dalam Sunyi will be held on March 29, 2025 starting at 06.00 WIB until 24.00 WIB, this is a form of respect for Hindus who commemorate Nyepi Day,” said TWC Prambanan General Manager Ratno Timur, Thursday (27/3).

In addition, TWC Prambanan will also conduct a power outage from 06.00 WIB on March 29, 2025 to 06.00 WIB on March 30, 2025.

To maintain the security of the Prambanan Temple Tourism Park area, there are several points that will be guarded by Bregada soldiers and Turangga troops, namely the equestrian police force from the Yogyakarta Special Region Police (DIY).

This year is the second time Prambanan Dalam Sunyi has been held, after last year's event went well.

“This routine activity is a form of respect and instills a sense of togetherness and deep attachment to Hindus throughout Indonesia who are carrying out Catur Brata Penyepian,” he said.

The closing at TWC Prambanan destination is also a form of commitment in respecting and maintaining the Prambanan Temple World Cultural Heritage site which is also respected as a sacred site for Hindus in Indonesia and the world.

“This is in accordance with the rules of Catur Brata Penyepian, namely amati karya (not working), amati lelungan (not traveling), amati geni (not lighting fires), and amati lelanguan (not having fun),” he said.
