Prabowo Subianto’s Inauguration Day: A Family-Centered Departure from Kertanegara

SEAToday.com, In an interview with Gerindra Party politician Prasetyo Hadi, details were revealed about Prabowo Subianto’s plans for the inauguration day on Sunday (10/20/2024).

When asked about the activities surrounding Prabowo’s departure from his family home in Kertanegara at 10AM WIB, Prasetyo said that only close family members would accompany him.

“There are no party chairmen coming to Kertanegara, only immediate family,” Prasetyo emphasized.

Prabowo’s wife, Titiek Soeharto is expected to head directly to the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR), in line with her role. As for preparations, the day remains largely lowkey “There were no special preparations, Prabowo only hosted foreign guests last night.”

After the swearing-in, Prabowo will head straight to the State Palace for the handover ceremony with outgoing president Joko Widodo. “There’s no special tradition,” said Prasetyo, hinting that Prabowo’s routine might include swimming and breakfast as usual.

Prasetyo also reflected on the significance of Kertanegara as the family home where Prabowo spent his childhood, “This morning, Prabowo will depart from his home, accompanied only by close family.”
