President Prabowo Arrives at Brunei Darussalam

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto arrived in Brunei Darussalam on Wednesday (14/5/2025) at 10:20 local time. During his visit, President Prabowo was also accompanied by a number of ministers and cabinet secretaries.

Reporting from Antara, a number of ministers who attended were Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar, Minister for Migrant Worker Protection Abdul Kadir Karding, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.

President Prabowo is also scheduled to meet Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah at the Nurul Iman Palace. The two met to discuss bilateral cooperation between Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam.

President Prabowo is also scheduled to receive the highest award of Brunei Darussalam's greatness "Darjah Kerabat Laila Utama Yang Amat Dihormati" (D.K.) from the Sultan of Brunei Hassanal Bolkiah.

"The awarding of the Star of Greatness of the State of Brunei Darussalam is given by the Sultanate of Brunei as a form of the highest respect for heads of state and world leaders who are considered to have contributed to advancing cooperative relations with Brunei Darussalam," said Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media of the Presidential Secretariat Yusuf Permana in Jakarta.

President Prabowo is scheduled to return to Indonesia on Wednesday afternoon after completing all agendas in Brunei Darussalam.
