Hamas Calls Gaza Aid Blockade a War Crime

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Hamas has denounced Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s decision to block humanitarian aid from entering Gaza, calling it a war crime and a direct violation of the ceasefire agreement.
"Netanyahu's decision to halt humanitarian aid is blatant extortion, a war crime, and a serious violation of the ceasefire agreement. Mediators and the international community must pressure the occupying authorities to stop their punitive and immoral actions targeting more than two million people in Gaza," Hamas said in a statement as quoted on Antara on Sunday (03/2).
The Palestinian group accused Netanyahu of using the ceasefire agreement to serve political interests while endangering Israeli hostages still held in Gaza.
"The claim that Hamas has violated the ceasefire is baseless and misleading. It is meant to cover up Israel’s systematic daily breaches of the agreement, which have killed more than 100 Gazans and disrupted humanitarian protocols, worsening the crisis in Gaza," the statement continued as quoted on Antara.
Hamas reiterated its commitment to all three phases of the ceasefire and expressed readiness to negotiate the second phase.
The first phase of the ceasefire, lasting 42 days, ended on Saturday (03/1).
Meanwhile, Israel announced that US envoy Witkoff, representing President Donald Trump, had proposed a new temporary ceasefire plan. Israel accepted the plan, but Hamas rejected it.
