SEAToday.com, Jakarta - In Operation Keselamatan Jaya 2025, the Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya continues to implement manual enforcement for a number of certain violations, even though electronic ticketing (ETLE) both static and mobile have been implemented.

"Violations such as forgery of license plates, not using license plates, and use of strobe lights will still be manually enforced," said Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya, Sr. Comr. Pol. Latif Usman, as reported by Antara News.

Latif Usman stated that the Police will also conduct inspections of public transportation and its drivers.

This inspection will be carried out at terminals and directly at the vehicle fleet pool to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

The police will also conduct urine and alcohol tests for public transportation drivers as part of the inspection. In addition, the public is urged to report if they find violations by officers during Operation Keselamatan Jaya 2025.

"Please, the public report if any of our members do things outside the provisions, please report to us, we are very open," he said.

A total of 1,675 joint personnel from Polda Metro Jaya, TNI, and the Regional Government were deployed in the Operation Keselamatan Jaya troop roll call, which took place from February 10 to March 23, 2025.

"This operation aims to improve public discipline and compliance in traffic and reduce the number of violations and accidents in the jurisdiction of Polda Metro Jaya," said Kapolda Metro Jaya Inspector General Pol Karyoto while leading the roll call at the Precision Field of the Polda Metro Jaya Traffic Directorate, Monday, as reported by Antara News.

Kapolda Metro Jaya Inspector General Pol Karyoto emphasized that this operation aims to create security, safety, order, and smooth traffic.

He also reminded that an educational, persuasive, and humanistic approach should be prioritized in maintaining public order in the field of traffic.
