Kemkomdigi Secures Telecom Stability Ahead of Nataru Holidays

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - In anticipation of the 2024/2025 Christmas and New Year (Nataru) holidays, December 9, 2024, Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid assured the public of stable telecommunications services. Priority has been placed on maintaining seamless connectivity to support the expected surge in mobility and communication.
“Kemkomdigi is working closely with telecom operators to secure cellular, internet, and data networks, particularly in high-traffic transportation corridors,” Meutya stated. The ministry is also monitoring radio frequency usage in crowded areas to prevent disruptions during peak travel times.
In collaboration with the Ministry of Transportation, Kemkomdigi is ensuring optimal telecommunications support for safe and efficient transport. Transport Minister Dudy Purwagandhi emphasized prioritizing safety and convenience for travelers using land, sea, and air transport.
To enhance public assistance, Kemkomdigi launched the digital portal Mudikpedia. The platform offers maps, online transport services, and emergency contacts, aiming to ease navigation and improve travel experiences for holiday-goers.
“We also urge vigilance against potential misinformation that could cause unnecessary complications during the holidays,” Meutya warned. This cross-ministry synergy hopes to ensure smooth, secure, and joyful Nataru celebrations for all.
