SEAToday.com, Jakarta-Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka were officially inaugurated as Indonesian President and VP for 2024-2029 at the MPR/DPR Building, Sunday (10/20).

In his first speech as the president, President Prabowo mentioned great challenges and his focus on food security.

"The great challenges we face are from the outside. But, we have to admit that there are challenges and obstacles that come from ourselves, because we're unaware and not good in managing our own prosperity," he said in his speech at the Nusantara Building of the Parliamentary Complex in Senayan, Jakarta, Sunday (10/20).

Prabowo added, "I have set a goal for food security. We can't rely on exports. In a crisis, they won't allow us to buy from them."

"The experts who helped me and I have studied it, and I am sure that, in no more than 4-5 years, we will achieve food security. We will be ready to become the world's food reserve," he stated.
