Profile of 79th Indonesian Armed Forces Anniversary Ceremony Commander, Major General Djon Afriandi
SEAToday.com, Jakarta-Major General Djon Afriandi was appointed as the commander of the 79th Indonesian Armed Forces anniversary ceremony, which was held at the National Monument (Monas) in Central Jakarta, Saturday (10/5).
Djon Afriandi is currently serving as Indonesian Special Forces (Kopassus) Commander (Danjen).
Prior to that, Djon Afriandi was a Special Staff of the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian National Army (KSAD).
Djon succeeded the previous Danjen, Major General Deddy Suryadi, who was appointed as the Diponegoro IV Military Area Commander, Friday (3/8).
Djon Afriandi graduated from the Military Academy in 1995 with "Adhi Makayasa", a title given to the best graduates of each force.
Then, he served as a Platoon Commander. He has also served as Company Commander, and other roles.
In 2020, he managed to become a Brigadier General. He commanded the Teuku Umar 012 Regional Military Command and was appointed to a role at the Military Academy.
Next, he became a Special Staff of the KSAD and became a Kopassus Danjen afterwards.
