Pope Francis Visit to Indonesia Highlights Humanitarian Mission

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The head of the Catholic Church will visit Indonesia from September 3 to 6 and lead a high mass at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium on September 5.
The Chairman said that Pope Francis' visit to Indonesia will bring a mission of humanity and fellowship.
On the other hand, the archbishop of Jakarta said that the Vatican desires more knowledge about Islam in Indonesia. He also mentioned that many Islamic leaders in Indonesia have been invited to and speakers at Vatican events.
"Because Islam is different in Indonesia. So it is interesting, especially for the Vatican," he said.
He also highlighted the nearby Istiqlal mosque and Jakarta Cathedral as symbols of Indonesia's harmonious life.
