SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has suspended the odd-even traffic rule during the long holiday weekend for Vesak Day, which falls on May 23 and 24. This information was announced through the official Instagram account of the Jakarta Transportation Agency (@dishubdkijakarta).

The suspension is based on the Joint Decree of the Minister of Religious Affairs, Minister of Manpower, and Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform concerning National Holidays and Joint Leave in 2024 (Joint Decree Nos. 855/2023, 3/2023, and 4/2023).

Additionally, Governor's Regulation No. 88/2019, Article 3, Paragraph (3) also stipulates that the odd-even system will not be enforced on Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays established by Presidential Decree.

While the odd-even rule is suspended, drivers are still encouraged to obey traffic signs, prioritize road safety, and follow the instructions of traffic officers.
