Bakso, A Baby Sumatran Tiger Made His Debut at Disney's Animal Kingdom

SEAToday.com, Florida - A baby Sumatran tiger made its debut on Sunday (2/2) at  Maharajah Jungle Trek, Disney's Animal Kingdom, USA. 

Interestingly, this baby tiger was named after an Indonesian food, "Bakso". This moment has been immortalized through uploads on Instagram (@disneyparks), Bakso has begun to explore new habitats.

This cute baby tiger was born in September 2024 to a mother named Sohni. Bakso is the first baby Sumatran tiger to be born at the park in 7 years.

This is a collaboration between the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) and the Species Survival Plan (SSP) to bolster endangered and threatened species populations.
