Karet Station to Integrate with BNI City and Sudirman Stations in April

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The integration of Karet Station with BNI City Station and Sudirman Station will begin in April.
President Director of KAI Commuter, Asdo Artriviyanto, said on Thursday (1/30) that once the integration is complete, Karet Station will only be used by KRL, with passengers no longer getting on or off there. Passengers will instead be directed to get off at the larger BNI City Station.
"The condition of Karet Station does not meet the requirements for passengers to board or alight. Therefore, passengers will board and alight at BNI City, which is a more comfortable, better-equipped station with a wider platform," he explained.
Additionally, he mentioned that the study for the integration of the three stations has been ongoing since 2020. After the integration, Karet Station will become a public area with hawker outlets and pedestrian-friendly facilities.
