SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The Indonesian Health Ministry released its latest update on monkeypox cases in Indonesia on Saturday, August 17, 2024.

 

Acting Director General of Disease Prevention and Control Yudhi Pramono announced at a press conference on Sunday (8/18) that there had been a total of 88 confirmed monkeypox cases in Indonesia since 2022. The highest number of cases occurred in October 2023, with 12 cases reported.

 

Of the 88 cases, 87 have been declared cured, and one patient who was only discovered in June is currently undergoing treatment.
