KAI Operates Crowd Detection System at Jabodebek LRT Trains, Stations
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - KAI started operating the crowd detection system at Jabodebek LRT stations and train sets on Wednesday (8/28).
The system provides real-time information on crowd density at stations and train sets, so that passengers can choose trains or stations based on the information. This information is displayed on monitor screens that have been prepared at every Jabodebek LRT stations.
“The main objective of the Crowd Detection System implementation is to monitor and control crowds at stations and train sets, so that crowd density can run efficiently and safely,” said LRT Jabodebek Public Relations Manager Mahendro Trang Bawono in his statement when the trial of this system began on Friday (8/23). He hoped this system can improve the comfort and safety of LRT users.
