SEAToday.com, Probolinggo - The Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (BB TNBTS) announced that the Mount Bromo area in East Java will be closed for tourists on June 21-24, 2024.

BB TNBTS Administration Head Septi Eka Wardhani said the closure is due to the Yadnya Kasada ritual. In addition, there will also be ecosystem restoration and cleaning of the area.

“The national park area is closed on 21 June at 12 AM local time, until 24 June 2024 at 12 AM,” Septi said.

Septi explained that the Yadnya Kasada ritual will be held on June 21-22. On that date, the area is only open to people who will participate in the ritual, with the identity as stated in the circular letter of the Pasuruan and Probolinggo Regencies Parisada Hindu Dharma Indonesia (PHDI) Chairman.

Meanwhile, on June 23-24, the area is only open to the people and officers who will be involved in the cleaning.
