Saudi Arabia Launches AI Center for Media

SEAToday.com, Riyadh - Saudi Arabia on Tuesday (2/20) launched the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Centre for Media and Future Camp of Generative AI for Media. The launch was made during the opening of the Saudi Media Forum 3 by Saudi Minister of Media Salman bin Yousef Al-Dosary and President of Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) President Dr. Abdullah bin Sharaf Al-Ghamdi

 

The launches aimed to foresee the future of AI and its applications in all forms of media in a way. It is hoped the projects could enhance Arab Saudi as the leading country in the AI data field to achieve the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030. The projects also aimed to enhance the national media competencies' benefits of AI to ensure a competitive environment in the media sector's advancement using advanced technologies.

 

Minister Salman mentioned that the media industry has contributed USD 3.87 billion to Saudi Arabia's GDP by 2023. The sector also generated 56,000 job opportunities in 2023, and is expected to reach 67,000 in 2024.
