SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The Jakarta Provincial Government is organising more free homecoming trips for 2025 Eid al-Fitr. This year, the government has provided more than 22,000 quota for people who want to participate.
“The target is 22,403 participants, for motorbikes is 600 units,” said Jakarta Transportation Agency Head Syafrin Liputo on Saturday (2/22).
Syafrin had previously revealed that the Provincial Government has allocated a budget of IDR 16 billion for this year's Free Homecoming Program. 293 bus units have been prepared to depart from Jakarta to 20 cities in six provinces in Indonesia. In addition, 10 trucks are also prepared to transport two-wheeled vehicles belonging to the travellers.
Meanwhile, the provincial government has also prepared 228 units of buses for the return flow that will also depart from the 20 cities.
