Primary, Secondary Ministry to Implement Electronic Diploma in 2025

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The Primary, Secondary Education Ministry plans to implement electronic diplomas in 2025 in an effort to improve efficiency, security, and ease of access for diploma recipients.
“Through digitalization, it is expected that the process of issuing and distributing graduation documents will be faster, more accurate, and reduce the risk of forgery,” said Senior High Schools Director Winner Jihad Akbar on Monday (2/10).
Winner emphasised that this step aims to ensure that the administrative process runs according to the provisions, so that the diploma received is valid according to the latest standards. It also gives accredited schools more autonomy in the diploma issuance process, which is expected to improve efficiency and accuracy in its distribution.
“It is important to note that only accredited education units have the right to issue diplomas. Education units that have not been accredited do not have this authority,” he added.
Through electronic certificates, the process of issuing and distributing graduation documents is expected to be faster, more accurate, and reduce the risk of forgery.
