SEAToday.com, Jakarta -Presidential Communications Office Chief Hasan Nasbi stated that President Prabowo has no intention of having Indonesia join any global defense blocs. However, Indonesia will join various economic blocs for the sake of national interests.
"Mr. Prabowo also emphasized that as a nation prioritizing our national interests, we will not join any defense bloc. However, we will participate in various economic blocs that benefit the country's interests," Hasan said during a press conference following the Plenary Cabinet Session on Monday (12/2).
He revealed that Indonesia is currently in the process of registering with the BRICS, OECD, and CPTPP economic groups.
“We will join any club that can provide economic benefits for our nation,” Hasan added.
