Social Affairs Minister Reiterates No Social Aid Program for Online Gambling

SEAToday.com, Sukabumi - Social Affairs Minister Saifullah Yusuf or Gus Ipul reiterated that there are no social aid programs from the government intended for online gambling-related issues.
“We have no program for judol (online gambling), here I highlight that there is no program for that. It is clear that what we are working on is the target (of social aid) that we have planned for before,” he said on Monday (11/18).
Minister Ipul also appealed to social aid recipients to utilize the aid as intended, which is to improve their welfare. He reminded them that online gambling is not a path to prosperity but will instead bring losses.
To strengthen efforts to eradicate online gambling, Minister Ipul invited the entire community, including religious and community leaders, to help educate the public on the dangers of online gambling. He also invited the media, which he considered to have a strategic role, to participate in disseminating information on the negative impact of online gambling.
