Misa Pemakaman Paus Fransiskus Digelar di Katedral Notre Dame Paris
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Misa pemakaman Paus Fransiskus digelar di Katedral Notre Dame di Paris, Prancis, pada Jumat malam waktu setempat.
Misa pemakaman pemimpin Gereja Katolik tersebut diikuti oleh banyak jemaat, juga dihadiri Perdana Menteri Prancis François Bayrou, Menteri Tenaga Kerja dan Kesehatan Catherine Vautrin, dan Wali Kota Paris Anne Hidalgo.
Sekitar 250.000 orang mendatangi Basilika Santo Petrus untuk mempersembahkan penghormatan terakhir kepada Paus Fransiskus selama tiga hari persemayamannya di Vatika pada Jumat.
Sementara itu, upacara pemakaman akan berlangsung pada Sabtu pukul 8.00 GMT (15.00 WIB), yang akan dipimpin Dekan Dewan Kardinal, Giovanni Battista Re.
Iring-iringan mobil yang membawa jenazah Paus Fransiskus akan melintasi jalan-jalan di Roma secara perlahan untuk memberikan kesempatan kepada warga untuk mengucapkan salam perpisahan.
Paus Fransiskus berpulang pada 21 April di kediamannya di Vatikan pada usia 88 tahun.
