Bus Rombongan Umrah Alami Kecelakaan di Arab Saudi, 6 WNI Meninggal

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Sebuah bus yang mengangkut jemaah umrah asal Indonesia mengalami kecelakaan di wilayah Wadi Qudeid, Arab Saudi, Kamis (20/3/2025) pukul 13.30 waktu setempat atau sekitar pukul 17.00 WIB.
Kecelakaan bus jemaah umrah ini terjadi di jalan lintas Madinah-Makkah, sekitar 150 kilometer dari Kota Jeddah.
Kementerian Luar Negeri (Kemlu) RI pun menyatakan sebanyak enam WNI meninggal dunia akibat kecelakaan bus ini.
“Total WNI jamaah umrah yang menjadi korban dalam kecelakaan adalah 20 orang, enam di antaranya meninggal dunia dan sisanya luka-luka,” ujar Direktur Pelindungan WNI dan BHI Kemlu RI Judha Nugraha melalui keterangan tertulis, Jumat (21/3).
Melansir Antara, berdasarkan informasi sementara, bus terlibat dalam insiden tabrakan sehingga menyebabkan bus terbalik dan terbakar.
Konsulat Jenderal Indonesia di Jeddah, Yusron B. Ambary, menjelaskan bahwa bus yang ditumpangi para jemaah menabrak sebuah mobil Jeep hingga akhirnya terguling dan terbakar. Namun terkait kronologi kecelakaan masih didalami oleh otoritas terkait di Arab Saudi.
Usai terjadi kecelakaan, KJRI Jeddah segera mengirimkan tim pelindungan WNI ke lokasi kejadian serta berkoordinasi dengan otoritas setempat maupun pihak-pihak terkait untuk memastikan kondisi korban.
Saat ini, korban luka-luka telah mendapatkan perawatan di Rumah Sakit Arab Saudi. Sedangkan, untuk jemaah lainnya sudah berada di hotel di Mekkah.
Kemlu RI pun sudah memberitahukan insiden kecelakaan bus tersebut kepada pihak keluarga korban di Indonesia. Pihaknya juga memastikan akan terus membantu penanganan korban luka di Arab Saudi.
