Jalur Pendakian Gunung Marapi Sumbar Ditutup Permanen

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Jalur pendakian Gunung Marapi di Sumatera Barat resmi ditutup secara permanen oleh Pemerintah Kabupaten Tanah Datar, Sumatera Barat.

Keputusan penutupan ini dilakukan untuk menjaga agar tidak ada pendaki yang naik saat kondisi gunung rawan erupsi.

"Kita sepakat untuk menutup permanen jalur pendakian ke Gunung Marapi karena sangat membahayakan bagi pendaki," kata Bupati Tanah Datar Eka Putra.

Penutupan ini dilakukan setelah adanya pengkajuan oleho Ombudsman RI Perwakilan Sumatera Barat dan disampaikan kepada Balai Konservasi Sumber Daya Alam (BKSDA) Sumatera Barat.

Berdasarkan kajian tersebut, Kepala BKSDA Sumatera Barat Lugi Hartanto menginstruksikan untuk menutup jalur pendakian secara permanen demi menjaga keselamatan para pendaki.

Nantinya akan dibuatkan surat edaran ke nagara (desa) yang menjadi pintu masuk area gunung tersebut.

"Kita bersama BKSDA sepakat untuk menutup secara permanen pendakian Gunung Marapi, dan akan ditindaklanjuti dengan surat edaran," kata dia.

Adapun penutupan permanen Gunung Marapi ini dilakukan setelah menerima laporan hasil pemeriksaan terkait dengan perizinan pendakian Taman Wisata Alam (TWA) Gunung Api Marapi Ombudsman RI Sumatera Barat.

Sebelumnya, terdapat sejumlah pendaki yang nekat mendaki Gunung Marapi meski sudah terdapat larangan karena gunung tersebut sedang berstatus Waspada dan rawan erupsi.

Para pendaki tersebut mengunggah foto dan video ketika berada di puncak Gunung Marapi yang kemudian unggahan itu menjadi viral hingga berujung permintaan maaf di Kantor BKSDA Sumbar.

Tidak hanya itu, mereka juga dikenai sanksi tidak boleh melakukan pendakian semua gunung di bawah naungan BKSDA selama satu tahun.
