BBMKG Terbitkan Peringatan Dini Gelombang Capai 2,5 Meter di Bali
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Balai Besar Meteorologi Klimatologi dan Geofisika (BBMKG) Wilayah III Denpasar menerbitkan peringatan dini gelombang laut diperkirakan hingga 2,5 meter di sejumlah perairan di Bali berlaku pada 29 November-2 Desember 2024.
“Waspadai peningkatan kecepatan angin serta tinggi gelombang laut,” kata Kepala BBMKG Wilayah III Cahyo Nugroho di Denpasar, Bali, Jumat (29/11/2024), dilansir Antara.
Berdasarkan pemantauan dan analisis BBMKG Denpasar, tinggi gelombang laut perairan Pulau Dewata diperkirakan hingga 2,5 meter berpeluang terjadi di Selat Bali bagian selatan, Selat Badung, Selat Lombok bagian selatan, dan Samudera Hindia selatan Bali.
Menurut BBMKG Denpasar, ketinggian gelombang laut itu berpotensi memiliki risiko terhadap keselamatan pelayaran yakni kapal nelayan, tongkang, dan feri.
Sementara itu, pola angin di wilayah Indonesia bagian utara umumnya bergerak dari barat laut-timur laut dengan kecepatan angin diperkirakan berkisar hingga 35 knot.
Sedangkan di wilayah Indonesia bagian selatan umumnya bergerak dari tenggara-barat daya dengan kecepatan angin diperkirakan hingga 30 knot.
Menurut BMKG, kecepatan angin lebih dari 15 knot dan tinggi gelombang di atas 1,25 meter perlu diwaspadai pengguna perahu nelayan.
Kemudian, operator kapal tongkang dianjurkan waspada saat angin berkecepatan lebih dari 16 knot dan tinggi gelombang di atas 1,5 meter.
Sedangkan, operator kapal feri diminta mewaspadai kecepatan angin lebih dari 21 knot dan tinggi gelombang di atas 2,5 meter.
Pihaknya mengimbau masyarakat untuk memperbarui informasi cuaca terkini melalui laman BBMKG Denpasar yakni balai3.denpasar.bmkg.go.id atau web.meteo.bmkg.go.id.
