VP Gibran Inspects Cibubur Sport Center Progress, Set to Be Inaugurated by Prabowo at Year-End

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Vice President (VP) Gibran Rakabuming Raka visited the Cibubur Youth Elite Sport Center (CYESC) in East Jakarta to review its construction progress on Tuesday (10/22/2024).
The visit aimed to ensure that the project stays on track for completion and will be ready for inauguration by President Prabowo Subianto by the end of this year.
Accompanying VP Gibran on the inspection were Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Taufik Hidayat, Deputy Minister of Public Works and Housing Diana Kusumastuti, and Acting Governor of Jakarta, Teguh Setyabudi. Gibran emphasized the importance of finishing the project on time and to a high standard, ensuring that it will contribute to improving Indonesian athletes' performance.
The CYESC project, which is now 61 percent complete, is set to include various sports facilities. It will be a training center for multiple disciplines, such as archery, climbing, swimming, and gymnastics.
VP Gibran highlighted that the project's successful completion will serve as a significant step towards enhancing the nation's sporting achievements. He said, "Minister Dito and Deputy Minister Diana will ensure that the work is sped up and ready to be inaugurated by President Prabowo this December."
This initiative is valued at Rp 249 billion, and Gibran stressed the importance of quality in its execution, saying that it is essential "to improve the performance of Indonesian athletes." His enthusiasm for the project's potential aligns with the government's broader goal of boosting national sports infrastructure.
The Cibubur Youth Elite Sport Center will play a vital role in nurturing future champions by providing top-notch training facilities. Gibran's commitment to overseeing the project's completion reflects the administration's dedication to fostering athletic excellence in Indonesia.
