President Jokowi Departed for Senayan via Merdeka Palace Gate
SEAToday.com Jakarta - The courtyard of Merdeka Palace in Jakarta was filled with media personnel preparing to cover the departure of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), to attend the Inauguration Ceremony of the Elected President and Vice President from the 2024 Election, who will serve as President and Vice President of Indonesia for the 2024–2029 term at the Parliament Building in Senayan, on Sunday morning.
As of 09:00 WIB, the Presidential Secretariat had provided a special area for journalists covering RI 1 on the right side of Merdeka Palace Jakarta, facing Medan Merdeka Utara Street in Central Jakarta.
President Jokowi was scheduled to leave Merdeka Palace Jakarta for Senayan via Medan Merdeka Utara Street.
Dozens of national media personnel from television, radio, online, and print, equipped with full coverage tools, were seen recording President Jokowi's departure to Senayan.
The atmosphere around the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta still appeared quiet ahead of the scheduled farewell ceremony for the head of state, which is planned to take place after the inauguration.
Meanwhile, Merdeka Palace appeared to be 100% prepared to welcome Prabowo and for the farewell ceremony of the head of state.
After attending the MPR/DPR/DPD RI building, Jokowi will return to the palace to welcome Prabowo Subianto and conduct the farewell ceremony.
After the farewell, Jokowi will return to his hometown, Solo, Central Java.
Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka took the oath of office as President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2024–2029 term during the MPR RI Plenary Session at the Nusantara Building, parliament complex, Jakarta, on Sunday.
A total of 732 members of the MPR RI witnessed the oath-taking ceremony. The MPR RI Plenary Session was also attended by national figures, political party leaders, and representatives from friendly countries.
