Traffic Diversions Around MPR Building During Presidential Inauguration
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The Metro Jaya Police will implement situational traffic management around the MPR/DPR/DPD RI building, Central Jakarta, during the inauguration of Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka as President and Vice President on Sunday (10/20/2024). A total of 6,757 joint personnel will be deployed to secure the event.
“There will be situational traffic management,” said Metro Jaya Police Traffic Director Kombes Latif Usman, referring to traffic diversions that will affect areas such as the State Palace, Sudirman - Thamrin, and Senayan. He also highlighted, “We will secure the routes of state guests and VVIPs, as well as the paths taken by President Jokowi and President-elect Prabowo”.
Here are the traffic diversions implemented around the MPR building:
- Traffic from the Lapangan Tembak traffic light (TL) towards Gatot Subroto Street is redirected at the underpass or diverted to the Ladokgi flyover towards Semanggi.
- Traffic from the Inner-City Toll Road exiting at the Pulo Dua off-ramp is directed straight towards Tomang Toll Road.
- Traffic from Palmerah Timur Street towards Gelora Street or the back entrance of the DPR/MPR RI building is directed straight to Tentara Pelajar Street or Permata Hijau Street.
- Traffic from Gerbang Pemuda Street towards Gelora Street or the back entrance of the DPR/MPR RI building is redirected to Asia Afrika Street.
- Traffic from Asia Afrika Street towards the Lapangan Tembak TL is redirected right to Pintu 1 Senayan Street or turned around at the Asia Afrika TL.
- Traffic from Semanggi heading to Slipi is diverted left at the underpass or Ladokgi towards Gerbang Pemuda Street.
- Traffic from Slipi heading towards Gerbang Pemuda Street is directed straight towards Semanggi.
Additionally, the Jakarta Transportation Agency also announced traffic diversions during the inauguration of the President and Vice President on October 20:
- Traffic from the East (Pasar Senen) to the West (Tomang) can go via Gunung Sahari Street-Dr. Sutomo Street-Gedung Kesenian Street-Lapangan Banteng Utara Street-Katedral Street-Veteran Street-Suryapranoto Street-Balikpapan Street-Kyai Caringin Street-Tomang Raya Street.
- Traffic from the West (Tomang) to the East (Pasar Senen) can go via Tomang Raya Street-Kyai Caringin Street-Balikpapan Street-Suryapranoto Street-Ir. H. Juanda Street-Pos Street.
- North to South traffic can go via Ir. H. Juanda Street-Pos Street-Gedung Kesenian Street-Lapangan Utara Street-Lapangan Banteng Barat Street-Pejambon Street-M. Ridwan Rais Street towards Rasuna Said.
- North to South traffic can also go via Gunung Sahari Street-Kramat Raya Street-Salemba Street-Proklamasi Street-Tambah Street-Prof. Dr. Sahardjo Street.
- Traffic from the North (Tanah Abang) heading East (Pancoran) can go via KH Mas Mansyur Street-Prof. Dr. Satrio Street-Casablanca Raya Street-HR Rasuna Said Street-Gatot Subroto Street.
- Traffic from the West (Slipi) heading East (Pancoran) can go via Slipi I Street-Jatibaru Raya Street-Fachrudin Street-KH Mas Mansyur Street-Prof. Dr. Satrio Street-Casablanca Raya Street-HR Rasuna Said Street-Gatot Subroto Street.
- Traffic from the West (Petamburan) heading East (Pancoran) can go via KS Tubun Street-Kebon Jati Street-Fachrudin Street-KH Mas Mansyur Street-Prof. Dr. Satrio Street-Casablanca Raya Street-HR Rasuna Said Street-Gatot Subroto Street.
- Traffic from the East (Manggarai) heading West (Palmerah) can go via Galunggung Street-RM Margono Joyohadikusumo Street-Penjernihan I Street-Penjompongan Raya Street.
- Traffic from the West (Palmerah) heading East (Manggarai) can go via Tentara Pelajar Street-Palmerah Timur Street-Penjompongan Raya Street-Penjernihan I Street-RM Margono Joyohadikusumo Street-Galunggung Street.
- Traffic from the East (Pancoran) heading North (Tanah Abang) can go via Gatot Subroto Street-HR Rasuna Said Street-Prof. Dr. Satrio Street-KH Mas Mansyur Street.
- Traffic from the East (Pancoran) heading South (Blok M) can go via Jenderal Gatot Subroto Street-HR Rasuna Said Extension Street or via Kapten Tendean Street-Woltermonginsidi Street-Trunojoyo Street-Panglima Polim Street.
- Traffic from the South (Blok M) heading North (Tanah Abang) can go via Panglima Polim Street-Sisingamangaraja Street-Hang Lekir I Street-Asia Afrika Street-Gerbang Pemuda Street-Bendungan Jatiluhur Street-Bendungan Hilir Street-KH Mas Mansyur Street.
