79Th Indonesian Armed Forced Anniversary Celebration: Kicked Off by Joint Drum Band Performance from Army, Navy, and Air Force
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The 79th Indonesia Armed Forced Anniversary celebration on Saturday (10/5) at monas Square, Central Jakarta, began around 7:00 AM WIB. The event was opened with a vibrant performance by a joint drum band of soldiers from the three branches of the Indonesia Armed Forced : the Army (AD), the Navy (AL), and the Air Force (AU).
Several drum bands participated, including the Army Military Academy Drum Band (Genderang Suling Canka Lokananta), the Naval Academy Drum Band (Genderang Suling Gita Jala Taruna), and the Air Force Academy Drum Band (Gita Dirgantara Taruna).
Their performances ignited the spirit of the 79th Indonesia Armed Forced Anniversary celebration. The soldiers from AD, AL, and AU had clearly prepared well to deliver excellent performances for this special occasion.
The theme for this year’s 79th Indonesia Armed Forced Anniversary is “Indonesia Armed Forced Together with the People, Ready to Safeguard the National Leadership Succession for an Advanced Indonesia.” More than 100,000 TNI personnel will participate in the parade during the ceremony. A total of 1,059 military equipment units will be showcased.
In addition to the ceremony, the celebration will feature a troop parade, a military vehicle display, martial arts demonstrations, horseback riding displays, the Jupiter Aerobatic Team, Parachuting, The Rajawali Laut Flight, an Anti-drone demonstration, a fly-pass, boomburst & high-speed pass, free meals, music concerts, and much more
