SEAToday.com, Balikpapan - The Ministry of BUMN (Stated-owned enterprises) and Pertamina held a workshop for BUMN millennials with the aim of increasing social media content competency.

Reporting from the official release, this program is entitled BUMN Influencer Workshop and is being held in eight cities in the archipelago. The participants are employees from various companies, especially millennial and generation-Z influencers or social media activists.

Several resource persons who served as training speakers included Bene Dion (story telling), Tommy Teja (inside out social media material and implementing content structure), as well as Ray from Creative Agency Zhando, as well as material from Special Staff III to the Minister of BUMN Arya Sinulingga.

On this occasion, Arya Sinulingga said that all BUMN people are expected to become influencers who convey positive things about their company.

"What BUMN people must have is loyalty and a positive mindset towards the company, and must have narrative abilities. Currently, as the world develops, and more and more information is available, the message conveyed is expected to be short and precise," he said in workshop in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan.

According to Arya, discussions about mindset are important because all BUMN employees are expected to have a clear vision, be able to maintain the company's image and build a culture of defending the company.

“BUMN people have a strong and real role, as influencers, on digital platforms such as social media. "They are considered inspirations and individuals who can have a positive impact and spread good news, especially about the company, to other people," he added.

Meanwhile, Pertamina Corporate Secretary Brahmantya S. Poerwadi said that this activity was very interesting and useful, because it was carried out in Balikpapan City, where there are several Pertamina Group business lines.

"Balikpapan is a small miniature of Pertamina where almost all of Pertamina's business activities are here. Let's pay attention to how this city is growing its economy because Pertamina is here. Apart from that, I also want influencers to start talking about the energy transition and seeing it from a millennial perspective," said Brahmantya.

This activity also received appreciation from the participants, namely Patih Rajahasta, a representative from Bio Farma. He expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of BUMN and Pertamina for paying attention to the potential of BUMN people and the importance of adapting to the digital world, especially in the social media aspect.

"I am very excited about this event. As an Influencer representative from Bio Farma, I learned a lot of things from the speakers presented. Later we will also visit Pertamina facilities and then create content about this. I really can't wait to see how the work process goes up to implementing HSSE "at Pertamina so far and hopefully we can create useful content. Thank you to BUMN and Pertamina for providing support for this event," he explained.
