Indonesia Bahas Kerjasama di Bidang Pendidikan dengan Hong Kong
SEAToday.com, Hong Kong - Indonesia berpeluang menjalin kerjasama di bidang pendidikan dengan Hong Kong.
Hal itu setelah adanya pertemuan KJRI Hongkong, Yul Edison, dengan Vice President the University of Hong Kong (HKU), Profesor Ian Holliday pada Senin (19/2/2024).
Dilansir dari situs Kemlu, Profesor Holliday menyatakan ketertarikannya atas kemungkinan kerjasama dengan tiga hingga empat universitas di Indonesia. Dalam hal pertukaran pelajar, HKU memiliki sekitar 400 universitas mitra.
Vice President dari HKU tersebut mengungkapkan adanya kemungkinan peningkatan kuota mahasiswa asing di HKU dari 300 mahasiswa menjadi 600 mahasiswa serta adanya program beasiswa bagi mahasiswa doktoral.
Pada pertemuan yang sama, Konsulat Jenderal (Konjen) Yul Edison turut mempromosikan beberapa beasiswa pendidikan yang dimiliki Indonesia dan menyebutkan pentingnya meningkatkan animo mahasiswa Indonesia terhadap perguruan tinggi di Hong Kong.
Profesor Ian Holliday dan Konjen Yul Edison menyampaikan adanya kesamaan pendapat tentang potensi kerjasama di bidang pendidikan antara universitas di Indonesia dengan HKU.
