BMKG Minta Masyarakat Sumedang Waspada Sepekan ke Depan usai Gempa
SEAToday.com, Sumedang - Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi, dan Geofisika (BMKG) meminta masyarakat Kabupaten Sumedang waspada sepekan ke depan. Hal itu setelah terjadi gempa bumi pada Minggu (31/12/2023).
"Kami mengingatkan masyarakat untuk tetap waspada dengan meningkatkan kewaspadaan, terutama sepekan ke depan, karena kita belum bisa memprediksi gempa susulannya seperti apa. Jadi, selama satu minggu ke depan harus meningkatkan kewaspadaan," kata Kepala Stasiun Geofisika BMKG Bandung Teguh Rahayu seperti dilansir Antara.
Rahayu menambahkan kewaspadaan diperlukan menanggapi berubahnya struktur bangunan akibat gempa Sumedang sendiri sudah diguncang lima kali gempa sejak 31 Desember sampaii 1 Januari 2024.
"Sudah pasti struktur bangunannya bergeser, karena bangunan kita kan bukan bangunan yang didesain tahan gempa. Jadi, harus waspada," ucapnya.
