Homecoming Eid 2025: Travelers Started to Crowd at Bakauheni Port

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - - Congestion began to be seen at Bakauheni Port, Lampung on D-4 of the 2025 Eid homecoming flow. The majority of travelers were heading to Merak Port, Banten.
Reported by Antara, there were hundreds of four-wheeled vehicles filling the parking area of the regular dock area of Bakauheni Port on Thursday (3/27/2025) night. They were queuing to enter the ship's deck.
ASDP also appealed to travelers to buy tickets well in advance.
"So we appeal to prospective travelers from Sumatra Island to Java and vice versa who will use ASDP's crossing services to buy tickets well in advance,"
"We also appeal to travelers who want to travel long distances to their hometowns to always maintain their health and follow the directions of our officers in the field," said General Manager of PT ASDP Bakauheni Branch Syamsudin.
He also added that based on 24-hour data, the number of vehicles crossing Merak Port was 521 two-wheeled vehicles, 5,134 four-wheeled vehicles, 738 buses, 1,742 large trucks, with a total of 8,135 vehicles.
