SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Minister of Home Affairs Muhammad Tito Karnavian believes that Indonesia Emas 2045 is highly achievable.

He emphasized that future global competition will be driven more by economic strength rather than military power.

"If we talk about the economy, the most crucial factor is production capacity. Whoever can produce on a massive scale and flood the global market will dominate. They will be the hegemonic player," Tito stated, as quoted on Antara, during the 2025 Rakortekrenbang (Technical Coordination Meeting for Development Planning) on Wednesday.

He highlighted that Indonesia has the potential to become a dominant economic power if it meets three key criteria: a large workforce, vast territory, and abundant natural resources.

"We have the advantage of a demographic bonus, with approximately 68.7 percent of the population aged between 15 and 60 years," he said as quoted on Antara.

However, he stressed that this workforce must be skilled, productive, and healthy.

"If they lack skills or even basic health, they will become a burden, leading to social and criminal issues," he added as quoted on Antara.

Tito also noted that Indonesia's landmass is comparable to Europe or the United States, offering significant space for industrial production.

"We have abundant resources for raw materials. Sometimes, we take for granted how extraordinary Indonesia's natural wealth truly is," he remarked as quoted on Antara.

With these factors in place, Tito is confident that Indonesia Emas 2045 is within reach, positioning the nation as a developed country.
