President Prabowo to Meet University Leaders for Research and Innovation Collaboration

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media at the Presidential Secretariat, Yusuf Permana, announced that President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to meet with rectors and leaders of public and private universities on Thursday (3/13) to discuss research and innovation collaboration.
"The meeting will strengthen the relationship between the Head of State and national academic leaders while featuring a panel discussion on the development of higher education in Indonesia to enhance the creation of top-tier human resources and future innovations," Yusuf stated, as quoted on Antara, in a message received in Jakarta on Wednesday night.
He added that the discussion aims to generate concrete steps to align education policies with government regulations, fostering a strong partnership between academia and the administration to realize the Indonesia Emas 2045 vision.
"A panel discussion between the President and academics will also be held to explore concrete measures for strengthening synergy between education and national policy direction," Yusuf emphasized as quoted on Antara.
As part of his Astacita mission, President Prabowo has prioritized higher education, aligning with the fourth point of Astacita, which focuses on strengthening human resources, science, technology, education, health, sports achievements, gender equality, and the empowerment of women, youth, and people with disabilities.
Higher education development is also a key component of the 17 priority programs under Prabowo’s Kabinet Merah Putih, designed to holistically address various aspects of Indonesia’s progress.
