SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka highlights the progressive implementation and promising outcomes of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) Program since its inception this year.

"This past January, it was already implemented in several places. The hope is that it can be more widespread," said Vice President Gibran as quoted from Antara, during National 2576 Kongzili Chinese New Year Celebration with Indonesian High Council of Confucianism (MATAKIN) at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) on Sunday (2/9).

Vice President Gibran expressed his gratitude for MATAKIN’s high support in the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) Program, emphasizing their strategic role in its success, given their widespread presence across Indonesia.

Initially introduced during the Prabowo-Gibran presidential campaign, the MBG Program has become a vital government initiative eagerly anticipated by the public.

"This is the much-awaited program, and I’ve even been constantly asked about it, even before I was inaugurated. Every day, people ask, 'When is the free lunch, when is the free lunch?’” Vice President Gibran remarked.

In his speech, Vice President Gibran called for joint collaboration between all parties in realizing the successful distribution of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) Program.

“It (the support) is not for the sake of Mr. Prabowo or Mr. Gibran, but for the sake of our Indonesia, the Indonesia we love,” Vice President Gibran concluded.
