SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Wakil Presiden RI Ma’ruf Amin membahas kerjasama ekonomi hingga kesehatan saat bertemu Presiden Singapura Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Senin (11/12/2023).

Dikutip Antara, Ma’ruf Amin juga mengucapkan selamat atas terpilihnya Tharman menjadi Presiden Singapura. Menurut Ma’ruf, Singapura merupakan “mitra dagang dan investasi utama Indonesia.”

“Tercatat hingga September tahun ini realisasi investasi mencapai 12,1 miliar dollar AS. Sementara total perdagangan mencapai 22 milliar dollar AS,” katanya.

Alhasil, Ma’ruf meminta Indonesia dan Singapura memperkuat kerjasama ekonomi. Salah satunya adalah kerjasama ekonomi syariah dan produk halal.

“Saya harap Singapura dapat menjadi mitra pengembangan industri ini dan mendorong penyelesaian,” ujarnya.

Selain di sektor ekonomi, Ma'ruf juga berharap Singapura dapat "terus aktif dalam meningkatkan kualitas infrastruktur kesehatan Indonesia." Hal itu termasuk infrastruktur di Kawasan Ekonomi Khusus (KEK) kesehatan di Sanur, Bali.
