BMKG Predicts Light Rain in 20 Regions in Indonesia Today

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - As many as 20 regions in Indonesia have the potential to experience light rain on Tuesday (7/1/2025) today. Here is the complete list.
As reported by Antara, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) forecaster Eriska Febrianti said the areas include Tanjung Pinang, Pekanbaru, Pangkal Pinang, Bangka Belitung, Palembang, Jakarta, Semarang, and Surabaya.
Not only that, light rain also has the potential to fall in Denpasar, Pontianak, Samarinda, Palangkaraya, Banjarmasin, and Manado.
In other areas of Sulawesi, light rain is also predicted to fall in Palu, Kendari, and Makassar. Meanwhile, for Maluku there are Ternate and Papua in Manokwari, Jayapura, and Jayawijaya.
On the other hand, moderate rain will fall in Medan, Serang, Bandung, Mataram, Kupang, Sorong, Nabire, and Merauke. "In addition, BMKG also predicts rain accompanied by lightning or thunder will hit Padang, West Sumatra; Jambi; Bengkulu; Bandar Lampung; Yogyakarta; Tanjung Selor, North Kalimantan; and Mamuju, West Sulawesi," he said.
