KAI Wisata Introduces Panoramic Train on Mutiara Timur Route

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Starting December 24, 2024, PT Kereta Api Pariwisata (KAI Wisata) launches the Panoramic Train as part of the Mutiara Timur service. Running between Surabaya Pasarturi and Ketapang stations until January 5, 2025, this offering aims to redefine travel experiences.
“We’re excited to introduce the Panoramic Train to meet the public’s demand for exceptional travel,” stated Hendy Helmi, CEO of KAI Wisata, in a press release as quoted from Antara. The route operates twice daily: Surabaya to Ketapang departs at 8:55 AM, arriving at 3:45 PM, while the return journey begins at 9:45 PM, reaching Surabaya at 4:21 AM.
Tickets start at Rp350,000 per person and can be booked via the Access by KAI app. Passengers are treated to luxury amenities, including reclining seats, exclusive meal and snack boxes, free-flow drinks, and attentive service from dedicated train attendants.
What sets the Panoramic Train apart is its expansive glass windows, including overhead panels, offering stunning views throughout the journey. Other facilities include a luxury lounge and onboard entertainment, ensuring a premium travel experience.
