SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The Telecom Infra Project Community Lab Telkom University (TIP CL TELU) participated in FYUZ 2024, a leading global event organized by the Telecom Infra Project (TIP) Global. This event featured conferences, panel discussions, and exhibitions on technologies such as Open RAN, Open Transport, OpenWiFi, and Telco AI.

With the theme "Accelerate Deployments, Business, and Innovation," this marked the second time TIP CL TELU attended FYUZ. Held from November 11–13, 2024, at the Convention Centre Dublin in Ireland, FYUZ 2024 brought together 250 speakers and 1,200 participants, including industry leaders, policymakers, academics, media, and communities, to discuss and explore the latest advancements in Open Network technology.

TIP CL TELU took the opportunity to showcase technology use cases developed by researchers at Telkom University's Center of Excellence, including PUI-PT AICOMS with Patriot-NET as a disaster response solution, CoE TIP with Netra for training solutions, and CoE MREC with Artificial Intelligence and Metaverse applications running on open network solutions to address real-world challenges and drive digital transformation.

This year, TIP CL TELU played a crucial role in shaping the open network landscape by actively participating in several panel discussions. Moderated by Lia Yuldinawati, Director of Strategic Cooperation and International Affairs at Telkom University, the panel featured industry experts like Katja Henke from i14y lab, Maggie Chao from ITRI, Ian Wong from VIAVI, and Julie Kub from NTIA.

The discussions focused on accelerating the role of Open RAN labs such as TIP CL TELU in supporting system-level testing to address challenges in the adoption of Open RAN solutions from the perspective of Mobile Network Operators. TIP CL TELU represented Indonesia's Ministry of Communication and Digital to explore strategies for enhancing connectivity through Neutral Host and Infrastructure Sharing business models, facilitating the implementation of neutral host and infrastructure sharing initiatives.

Wrapping up TIP CL Tel-U's participation in FYUZ 2024, a panel session moderated by Muammar Nurdin, TIP Program Manager, highlighted the importance of public-private collaboration in advancing Open RAN development in Indonesia. Panelists from Telkom University, Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH), Orex SAI, and USTDA shared insights and experiences in fostering a dynamic open network ecosystem.

FYUZ 2024 was not only a platform for knowledge exchange but also a space for building strong networks. Through this event, TIP CL TELU aims to accelerate innovation and strengthen open and disaggregated network infrastructure in Indonesia, while building strategic partnerships globally.
